Meet the Judges

Anna Hogelin

Anna Hogelin's love for fashion first began at age 6. Playing fashion show with her friends and Barbie dolls was foreshadowing of the days to come, working as the Fashion Director for Wilmington Fashion Week. Before moving to Wilmington 10 years ago, Anna was involved in the theatre department at Auburn University, assisting with the design and construction of costumes each semester. The film industry brought Anna to Wilmington, where she worked on various indie films and TV shows in the wardrobe department. Her current involvement with Wilmington Fashion Week has proven to be rewarding, allowing her to work directly with emerging designers and providing them the platform to showcase their designs and gain exposure for their brand. She loves being involved in the community and is excited to be a part of the planning team for designSPARK this upcoming fall. One of her favorite quotes is from style icon Iris Apfel, "Fashion you can buy, but style you possess, The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years. There's no how-to road map for style. It's about self-expression, and above all, attitude."

Three years later Sydney competed in, and won her first Miss pageant and is formerly Miss NC USA 2012.
