CLASS Project

Resources for PreK - 12th grade

NHC School Staff Accounts

CLASS Project, uses Staff UID numbers instead of separate library cards. With their CLASS Project account, all NHCS staff can:

  • Access NHCPL research databases

  • Borrow digital materials such as e-books, e-audiobooks, and e-magazines

  • Borrow up to 2 print books, audiobooks, or magazines at a time (no DVDs or music CDs)

  • There are no overdue fines or fees for CLASS Project accounts.

Staff are still encouraged to visit the library to obtain a traditional library card, and teachers can apply for an Educator card with extended borrowing privileges.

About Educator Cards

  • These cards are separate from your personal NHCPL card and from your CLASS Project account.
  • The Educator card offers expanded availability of library materials for classroom use, with an extended checkout limit and checkout period (up to 50 items, checked out for 6 weeks). Items may be renewed once.
  • To apply for an Educator card at any NHCPL location, the teacher should bring a photo ID, proof of mailing address, and verification of current status as an educator in New Hanover County.
