CORE: Community Outreach Reading Empowerment

The CORE program brings library services to patrons who can't come to the library because of age, health or physical limitations.

Services include:

Browsing Bookmobile: The librarian brings a selection of materials (can include: large print books, regular print books, audiobooks, and DVDS) and sets them up in the facility for residents to browse and check them out.

Check-out to Facility: A selection of materials is checked out directly to the facility and dropped off with a staff member (usually the Activities Director or equivalent) along with a check-out list. The facility is responsible for keeping up with and loaning material to the residents and seeing that it’s returned or renewed on the next visit.

Books-By-Mail: This is a fast and convenient mailing service that supplies printed books, DVDS, and audiobooks by the U.S. Postal Service for free. Your order will be delivered to your home with a return label and postage included. Items may be kept up to six weeks.
