Proctoring

Student Responsibilities

 In compliance with New Hanover County Public Library's COVID-19 guidelines, a mask covering the nose and mouth is required at all times 

  • If a student requires use of a library computer for an exam, they must have a library account in good standing

    • If you do not have a library card, please sign up online and arrive early to get your library card 

  • Verify that the testing environment and proctor responsibilities meet the conditions of their Distance Education Institution

  • Submit a request online

  • Upon confirmation of date, time, and location, contact their institution and provide the proctoring information to have exam materials sent

  • Arrive on time with photo ID and any necessary items to take exam

  • Notify the library of any changes to exam date, time, location, or requirements

  • Pay any applicable fees before taking exam

    • Printing: $0.10/page

    • Faxing: $1.00/page

    • Mailing: $2.00 (if no prepaid envelope is provided)

    • Internet Only card: $2.00 (if student is does not qualify for resident card and requires library computer for exam)
